Roberta J. Bourn, President & Founder IMI has been serving not-for-profit associations since 1974. Roberta Bourn, President and founder of IMI has over 32 years experience working with professional and trade societies and associations. Roberta has been a registered lobbyist for the State of Colorado and the City and County of Denver and has worked for many years with our U. S. Congress. She has developed relationships with most of our elected officials and their staff and is successful in organizing association members to participate in grass roots efforts. She conducts strategic planning sessions and board orientation sessions. The strategic planning process she has developed for small associations has proven to be a most workable solution for associations with limited resources. She is insistent that a plan be developed to assist the busy volunteer in achieving their goals with minimum effort. As there are more time constraints on the volunteer, better ways of conducting association business and reaching association goals must be developed. She is proficient in all areas of association management. Roberta has organized conferences, trade shows, educational programs and board meetings in almost every major city in the United States. She has developed specific programs for clients regarding membership recruitment, membership retention, member benefits; marketing, public relations; educational and social programs, as well as civic involvement. As changes are happening in the society, professions and industry, changes must also occur in their associations. Roberta is skilled in identifying internal and external influencing factors and relating them to the association strategic plan. Roberta always goes that extra mile to maintain effective relationships with other related organizations and assures that the position of the association and its members is well represented. Her belief in community involvement has led her to being active in many civic and professional organizations. That is not only a plus for Interactive Management, but for their clients. She is a member of the the International Institute of Association Management Companies, the City Club of Denver, the Colorado Press Association, and serves on the board of directors of the Colorado Leadership Forum.
